Thank you for reading our story. Our dream of adopting was born over 8 years ago, when we realized "someone was missing from our family." A year later we actively began pursuing adoption. Our first attempt was through Jamaica. Although we were approved by the Jamaican government, and despite great expense on our part, no child was matched with us. Then, in 2011, we discovered Lifetime Adoption Facilitators, and the hope of a domestic adoption bloomed. We were quickly matched, but the birth mother changed her mind, leaving us saddened, yet still believing God had a child for us. Then, quite unexpectedly on January 27, 2015, we received a call about a baby girl. Melissa flew to Nevada to obtain guardianship, and a week later, brought home Eligia Joy. The setbacks we experienced came with not only emotional strain, but financial as well. Fees that have been paid are non-refundable. Additionally, new costs arose as travel, additional lawyers, etc. come into play. It isn&'t easy for us to ask for help. Yet, throughout our long journey, God is teaching us that we can bless others by allowing them to bless us; help us. Thank you for any tax-deductible gifts you are able to give. Thank you even more for your prayers for us. We are thrilled with the adoption of our beautiful baby girl, Eligia Joy. We still have some financial responsibilities to be met, but are thrilled to have her home with us. Thank you for your continued prayers.
