We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful little girl into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $35,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive families.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up.
Here's how it all beganL
As a child I (Geniann) always dreamed of being a Mom, I wanted 3 kids….When Channing and I began dating seriously and discussing our future family I learned that we both had a dream to adopt also…so we agreed and we knew our family could not be complete until we opened up our hearts to a child in need of loving parents. Our prayers began to be answered when we became the parents of two of the most amazing earthly children there are…the amazing gift I was given to bear them I am eternally grateful for 
\<3 When my last pregnancy with Rowan landed me in ICU I knew I could not risk being taken from my kids for my own hearts gain; but we knew that was God’s way of telling us it was time to look into adopting a child, and so the long journey began! The funny part about that story is that when we began the adoption process we had hoped to change a child’s world for the better, what we didn’t realize is that before we would ever meet her in person, she would change ours forever!! Before we found her, I read blogs and books written by adoptive parents that swore the minute they laid eyes on their child's file they knew that it WAS THEIR CHILD, they just needed to bring them home! After so much searching I saw her, an angel, and the missing piece to our crazy little puzzle! She is almost 9 months old, has a couple of medical needs, but is beyond perfect…she is from South Korea and the minute we discovered her, it was identical to the feeling I had when I heard my babie’s heartbeats for the very first time…they were MINE and I would do anything in the world to bring them into the world safely. And for her, we would do anything (literally cross oceans) to bring her home where she belongs!! As many of you may or may not know, adoption is expensive due to so many legal things, travel, etc., for months Channing and I have prayed endlessly, used what bit of savings we had, taken on extra jobs, second jobs when we find spare time from our primary jobs and even applied for grants and loans. Honestly, we knew it would be a monetary feat, but did not understand to what extent. At the moment we are racing the clock to ensure she can come home to us, but finances are slowing us down, so we have decided with humble hearts to come to our friends and family to ask for your support. We have family members who have suggested some amazing fundraisers that we hope will bring us to our goal as we continue to work diligently ourselves to provide a way. If you are able to participate during this time in any way, we will appreciate you more than we could express, if you cannot help monetarily we completely understand and any prayers or good vibes you send will be more than enough!!
