We are the Emert family. Our family started when we were married in 2007 and we have been on adventure following Jesus ever since. We have learned in our journey of following the Lord that the most important thing is to say YES. All of the details aren’t as important as just saying YES to following Jesus and watching Him work miracle after miracle.
We felt the call of adoption in our hearts very early in our marriage, but God put that on hold for a season and gave us 5 wonderful biological children. After our 5th child was born the call to adopt came stronger than ever.
We have said yes wholeheartedly and we are thrilled to be adding another child to our family. So, all 7 of us are headed to Nigeria to pick up our new son and become a family of 8! We have to stay several months in Nigeria due to the adoption process and our goal is to raise $25,000 to help offset the cost of adoption and required travel.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he grows up.
Today, May 18th 2022 we brought Mayowa home! He is officially with us forever! We can’t thank everyone enough for supporting us in our adoption journey. Thank you for your prayers, financial support, and words of encouragement these last 2 years. We are forever grateful. We can’t wait for everyone to meet Mayowa.
