Many of you know our passion for two boys from an orphanage in Eastern Europe who have visited our home through a hosting program, Project 143. They already feel like part of our family!
Upon returning to the United States from Australia, we have been able to start the adoption process. A couple of major steps have already been completed. We have an approved home study and the orphan court in Latvia has made a "best interest" decision regarding the boys being adopted by us.
Since the process started, the younger boy has been diagnosed with Leukemia and has spent significant time in the hospital going through chemotherapy. He will be completing his treatments in December. Please keep him in prayer.
We would like to invite you to partner with us on this journey. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $15,000.00 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. If only 300 people give $50.00, we would reach this goal. AdoptTogether provides tax receipts for donations over $25.00. Funds are released for adoption-related expenses only.
