We are thrilled to share some exciting news that has brought immense joy and anticipation into our lives!
After thoughtful consideration and heartfelt discussions, we have decided to embark on a beautiful and meaningful journey—the decision to adopt a child from Cote d'Ivoire. This decision has been fueled by our shared values, the desire to expand our family, and the belief in the power of love and unity.
We have chosen Cote d'Ivoire as the source of our newest family member. As you may know, Fabrice is also from Cote d’Ivoire, so this made it easy for us to choose to adopt an Ivorian child as we are already familiar with and attached to the rich culture, warmth of its people, and strong heritage.
This decision has been years in the making, involving careful research, soul-searching conversations, and the support of professionals who guide families through this beautiful and transformative process. We are grateful for the encouragement and understanding of those closest to us, as we take this significant step toward parenthood.
We are doing everything as a family to prepare and welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $55k or more. This is why we have set our goal of $22k to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
As we embark on this adoption journey, we are aware of the challenges and joys that lie ahead, as adopting a child is a decision that comes with profound responsibility and immense happiness. We are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our child, one filled with love, laughter, and opportunities for growth.
