Watch our video here http://vimeo.com/73658569. This summer, our family was contacted by an agency who needed a favor. Three Latvian orphans were in crisis due to abuse by a host family. We thought it would just be three weeks. Our hands were full with three children of our own but we didn&'t think we would consider becoming parents of six! We were wrong. It turned out, they fit right in. Their senses of humor, despite the language barriers, were just like ours. They loved lullabies at bedtime, just like our kids. They hugged us, called us Mamu and Dadi and played easily with our children and the neighborhood kids too. This summer, we had six children to love and it felt right. In fact, the big surprise wasn&'t how hard it was to host them, it was how devastating it felt to say goodbye. Now we want to bring them home, but on two teaching salaries, the costs of adopting three kids are daunting. The actual adoption is about $40,000.00 but, in order to get our home study approved, we also need to renovate our attic to turn a three bedroom home into a five bedroom home. Help us create a home for these kids. We will do the rest.
