My wife Leah and I are Believers in Christ and therefore have been adopted ourselves. This is the driving force behind wanting to parent a child born without parents who can love them and nurture them in the Gospel. We have 3 biological children under the age of 6 and feel called to raise more children for the glory of God. Our plans are to adopt a minority (due to the fact that adopted parents are more often needed for them than others) under the age of 2 from the U.S. and are needing to raise $30,000 to fund the adoption. Here is a portion of an article we wrote on adoption: "Adoption in its most beautiful light points out that there has been someone left alone, abandoned, uncared for, hungry, helpless, without a teacher, without a friend, without a helping hand, without a hug, without a shoulder to cry on, without someone to play with, without loving discipline, without a voice of encouragement, without someone to pick them up when they fall etc, yet with one simple decision all of these voids are met in their entirety by someone who finds it in their heart to call this orphan their own through adoption."
