We traveled to China and adopted a 9month old(2003), then a 15month old(2007). We had our 2 beautiful daughters & our family was complete. We were still very active in the adoption community because God had placed in our hearts the desire to advocate for the children that still needed homes. 5yrs later, while preparing for a benefit dinner to raise awareness for orphans, one girl on a website caught our attention. She was 8yrs old & her name was Claire. We could not stop thinking about her. We felt like God was calling us to her. We began to make the phone calls & put the plans in action to bring Claire home. Days later we learned she was already matched with a family. Sadness & happiness were all mixed together. Maybe we were wrong thinking we should adopt again, especially an 8yr old. But God had other plans & we were given very clear signs that adoption WAS the path God wanted us to take. HE had used Claire to open our hearts to an older child. We have now been matched with a beautiful 9yr old girl and have less than 4 months to raise the funds to bring our newest daughter home. Thank you for your donation and prayers!
