Almost three years ago we traveled to Ethiopia to adopt two brothers, ages 3 and 5. With two teenagers at home we doubled the size of our family and it was hectic but a huge blessing. While we were at the orphanage we met so many wonderful kids. We were especially taken with an 11 year old girl named Tizita. We never forgot her and wrote letters back and forth that were delivered by other families traveling to adopt. Many things happened over these last three years that made it clear that it was not time to adopt again. God was very much protecting all of us. We still could not let go of the fact that at the age of 16 she would age out of the orphanage and become a street child. This year our oldest graduated from high school and we realized that our youngest won&'t graduate until 2025. We knew that we had so much more love to share and it was time to start the adoption of Tizita. She has health issues but we know we can do this! We reached out to her to make sure it was what she wanted and she said "i choose you". That was all we needed to hear. We have begun to work on our dossier again and hope to travel for our first trip before the end of the year.
