The little girl that is waiting for us will be named Hannah. She has orthopedic issues and has been labeled autistic. It is impossible to know what the extent of her needs truly are before getting her home. This little girl is very special and we already love her. She needs us and we need her. We can afford to raise Hannah as our daughter, but coming up with $30,000 is very difficult. This little girl cannot afford to wait for a family. She&'s already lost so much. She&'s endured painful castings and surgery without a Mommy in a failed attempt to fix her feet. She has no hope for a future. I have been asked by people lately if we are fundraising for this adoption. The answer was no. We both felt uncomfortable with it and worried how others would view it. Many people feel that if you can&'t afford adoption outright, then you shouldn&'t being adopting. However, given the sincere requests from loved ones who would like the opportunity to care for an orphan, I feel that I should swallow my pride and say thank you! Thank you caring for Hannah. Please keep her and our family in your prayers.
