We were first called to adopt around Christmas 2012. Erin was still in nursing school, so we knew we wanted to wait at least until she was finished with school to pursue adoption. We also didn&'t know at that time what type of adoption we were being called to as well. During early 2013, we started to explore the different types of adoption, and prayed about which type of adoption God was leading us to consider. Long story short…our hearts were committed to international adoption through a special needs program from a large Asian country. We began the adoption process for an adorable little man that fall, and had the privilege of welcoming him home this past November. He has been the perfect addition to our family! Once again, our family has been called to expand, this time with a little girl! She is currently 17 months old, and we anticipate she will be close to 24 months when we are joined together as a family.
