We are growing our family through adoption!
We have been doing everything we can to prepare to bring a new child (or possibly children) into our family. Adoption has always been something our family dreamed of one day doing and we feel that God is saying IT’S TIME!!! We have chosen to grow our family through international adoption. We feel God has led us to adopt from Burundi, Africa. Our home study is complete an we are currently finishing up our dossier paperwork with Wide Horizons for Children Inc to send off to Burundi's Central Authority!
We want to ask you to be part of the community we hope to build around our child or children as he/she grows up. Many of you may wonder what that looks like. Here are some ways you can join alongside us as we follow God’s leading over the next few months to years.
Adoption can be one of the most rewarding yet faith stretching experiences of a Christian’s walk with God. There are still so many unknowns and mountains that we will encounter along this journey. Satan doesn’t like God’s people following His plan and we’re confident he will be ready to attack! Please pray that we will have unwavering faith and learn to listen carefully to His guiding.

Join our Farrar Family Adoption group. We hope to keep you updated regularly on our status, as well as, ask for specific prayer requests for that point in our journey. This group is where we will also share our journey once we have been matched and get to go pick up our child/children!

Every time you share online or on Facebook, our story is able to reach an additional 34 people. According to UNICEF, there are roughly 153 million orphans worldwide. Our hope is that our story may encourage another family to consider making that number ONE less!
4. Consider giving financially
It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more for one child. It is one of the main reasons why families who feel called to adopt often shy away. This is why we have set a goal to raise $50,000 (if we are matched with siblings) to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We will be working tirelessly to eliminate the financial burden of adoption through odd jobs, a variety of fundraisers, grants, and our community! We serve a God who has a heart for adoption. We know that God is our provider and we know there is no other way to do this except through Him.
We have created an adoption profile on adopttogether.org for anyone wishing to give a tax-deductible gift. AdoptTogether is a non-profit, crowdfunding platform that bridges the gap between families who want to adopt and the children who need loving homes. This provides our community an opportunity for a tax-deductible donation through an IRS approved 501 c3.
