is adopting a child from Korea (Republic of)
It has been our dream to adopt internationally for a long time. We have two biological children and are now called to have another via adoption. The overall costs for all adoption expenses are just shy of $40,000 and we are in need of help to cover those costs. We have a blog at foldedhandsopenhearts.blogspot.com where you can follow our progress. Sometimes the LORD calls people to do things far beyond their comfort zone; where there is uncertainty and fear that can make them question that calling, but remain steadfast in the LORD. As it is written in Isaiah 40:31 “Those that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not be faint.” Recently we met another Christian family who just brought their son home from Korea. Listening to their story about how much their church and faith helped them through their entire adoption process was amazing. We really appreciated that, as we look to our own church in support and prayers for bringing our child home from Korea as well. We ask for your prayers and support in this journey. God has blessed us with family, friends, and people we have yet to meet. We are going to need the support of all of them to be successful in this undertaking, and in all of the duties in our lives. The power of prayer, especially that of prayers that come from a group of people such as a church family, is amazing and unparalleled. As the Bible states in Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
