We are adopting a child!
God has laid on our hearts the desire to fill our family with children through adoption since before we were married. We often discussed the thought of adoption as a far away process for later in life but God had a different story for us. As we began the process of starting a family and the subsequent struggles we faced with recurrent pregnancy loss, God faithfully helped us in our grief and showed us how our family could grow through the ministry of adoption. Through countless stories of the beauty of adoption and the wisdom of those we love, we have decided that now is the time to pursue bringing home the child God has for us.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
