Many of you have heard this story in the past and may have many times again over the last 6 years, but after Maxim was born the hospital committed malpractice (in our opinions) and I ( Rachele ) nearly died. However, it being a Military hospital we didn't feel comfortable taking legal action. After a week in the ICU it was suggested by the OBGYN that took care of me that I should not carry any more children. Just happy to be alive, we completely agreed with him and Matt took the step of making sure we would not get pregnant in the future.
A few years passed and the thought of having another baby started creeping back in to our minds and eventually into our hearts.
So now we have BIG news!!
We have recently started the process to adopt a baby!
If you know us we are not ones to ask for financial assistance, however adoption is EXPENSIVE!
After tons of researching, crowdfunding seems to be a normal step in the adoption process. So here we are.
We have three sources of funding: our personal savings, fundraising, and grants. We are hoping to be able to break it down from our personal savings, from fundraising, and crowdfunding ( praying hard ).
100% of anything that is donated to us goes straight to the cost of the adoption!
We are hoping to raise as much as possible to help offset the costs!
