As many of you know, we've been pursuing adoption for over 2 years. We were so excited, last year about this time, when we were chosen by a birth mom in Arizona to be the adoptive family for her baby. She was due in July. However, after the baby was born, she changed her mind. We knew that this was a possibility before hand, but we were so hopeful. As painful as it was to experience a failed adoption, we knew that the Lord still had plans for us and for a child that He would bring into our family. We were shocked to find out 2 weeks later that I was pregnant. We hadn't planned on having any more biological chlildren, but we thought maybe this was what the Lord had in mind, so we were thankful. However, at 10 weeks along I miscarried. So many questions we wrestled with in that season, facing two losses back to back, but in it all, we know that the Lord never left our side. We gave it some time to let our hearts mend a little, and now we are ready to jump back into the adoption journey. Please pray for us we start all over again with our paperwork and coming up with all of the finances needed.
