We have BIG news!
What began as a dream and a prayer two and a half years ago has finally become a reality for us! We are parents to a beautiful baby boy!
The adoption process has been a rollercoaster of emotion! Some days we were hopeful and other days we were disappointed.
We received a call on December 22 letting us know that the parents of an eight-month-old baby boy had chosen us to be his parents! We picked him up the next day and welcomed him into our home and our hearts.
It has been quite an adjustment going from a single married couple to parents, but we are overjoyed!
It has been a learning and bonding experience for the three of us. Our priority is his health and wellness.
He seemed small for his age and we learned at his first visit with the doctor that he is underweight and has missed some milestones. He should be able to hold his head up, sit up, roll over and be close to crawling at this age, but he is not quite there yet and he will need physical therapy, occupational therapy, and close supervision to meet his needs.
No matter the challenges, he greets us with a big smile every time! He has brought joy we could never imagine. Thank you for your positive words and prayers through the pre-adoption process. We hope you will continue to follow our unique journey through parenthood! Any financial support will go towards his physical, occupational therapy, and any other needs that come up as he is evaluated.
