We're matched! A mom in the Pennsylvania area has chosen us as the family for her baby boy, should she place the baby for adoption.
Mom has been on bedrest for weeks, and will continue to do so until the baby is born. This has left her without a way to cover her rent and other expenses.
First, we ask for your prayers as she sees this pregnancy through, and as she goes above and beyond trying to give baby boy as much time in utero as she can.
Second, if you happen to have the interest and the ability - we ask if you could help us cover her living expenses. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. We've made many sacrifices to save for this adoption, however the special circumstances of this case (the needs of the mom, it being an interstate adoption) has meant that the adoption costs an additional $13,000 beyond what we had originally anticipated.
This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden.
