Brenna Gardiner

is adopting a child from United States of America

We are the Gardiner family,

We have always desired to have children, but decided early in our marriage to wait until we believed we were financially stable to meet the needs of a child. Unfortunately, when we felt we were ready to start a family we were met with extreme disappointment and heartache. We were stationed at Fort Bliss,TX and in June of 2008, I became pregnant with our first child. However, I later suffered a miscarriage in August after 14 weeks of pregnancy. We tried for a few more years to conceive, but were unsuccessful. We eventually sought help at an infertility clinic at Madigan Hospital at Fort Lewis, but regrettably additional attempts to conceive were unsuccessful. As time passed, we processed and accepted the loss of our daughter as well as not being able to conceive. After careful deliberation and prayer we felt we were ready to start a family. We started the process with Family Adoption Services in Birmingham, Alabama.

After 3 years of waiting, we were finally matched and were so thankful to hear our son had been born on Thanksgiving Day! What a blessing from God and we brought him home 5 days later. We had orders back to Fort Bliss and after 3 weeks we drove across country to our new home. We left Texas back in 2008 after our miscarriage, devastated and with arms empty to return 8 years later, feeling overjoyed and with arms full! We received our adoption decree for our son on February 17, 2017. Our daughter was due on February 17,2009. The 17th had always been a rough day for me, but God turned that day around from a sad one to a happy one. He is our Redeemer!

After another two and a half years we are so thrilled to announce we have been matched again and are adopting! This was completely unexpected and such a blessing! We had come to the conclusion that as much as we wished that our “lil man” would have a sibling, at this point he probably would not. We are excited God is bringing an addition to our family and that Lawson will be the best big brother ever!

We are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign and all donations are a tax write off for you. They go directly towards our adoption expenses. It may surprise you to hear that adoption costs can range up to $30,000. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that overwhelms adoptive parents.

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love and prayers as we continue on our journey!

Blessings,

Laurence, Brenna & Lawson
