We are beyond grateful to have welcomed our daughter, Aria, into our lives. Not only has she brought our family endless love and joy, but she is living her best life! We are still in contact with Aria's birth mother so they both have access to each other through their lives, and the relationship is very healthy. Aria's birth father tragically and unexpectedly passed away prior to her birth which was a significant factor in going down this adoption path.
It may surprise you to hear that private adoption-related costs can easily exceed $50,000. This is why we have set a goal of $35,000 through this 501(c)(3) organization to help cover the financial burden that comes with adoption. We are well prepared for the typical expenses of raising a child, but would love the opportunity to start without the expenses of adoption taking away from that, and appreciate every bit of assistance to that end.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
Honestly, we are just a couple of happily married guys who were ready to start a family after 16 years together. Our baby girl is surrounded by a large, loving family, with 9 first cousins, and 32 extended cousins (and still growing!) that gathers often, and she fits right in with other biological, adopted, and blended/step family relationships. Our greatest memories are those spent with family and friends, and our circle of friends are in the same stage of life as us in that they are having children also, so we enjoy the play dates that organically lend themselves to us.
Our support system has been the source of our values, our life lessons, our foundation through the good and bad times, but especially there for all of life’s joys. Although we have close relationships with our nieces and nephews, a child of our own has been the capstone of our lives together. We have yearned for a child as much as a child yearns for parents, and we are savoring every moment with Aria.
