WE ARE ADOPTING!!!
We are excited and ready to become a family of three (Plus Murphy)!!
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that the average cost of adoption is $42,337!! (Costs include home study costs, agency costs, travel costs, legal costs, birth mother medical costs, advertising, documentation costs– just to name a few!)
Here are the ways that you can help support us:
SPREAD THE WORD
Please share our story and this website with your friends and family! The more our story gets told, the closer we could be to meeting our child. You never know who in your circles might be considering options for their child or who might know someone else who is making those decisions right now.
DONATE
While we will plan some specific fundraising events in the near future, if you would like to support our adoption through a donation, you can do so through our AdoptTogether account. All donations are tax-deductible and will help bring us one step closer to bringing our son or daughter home.
PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS
Finally — thank you for your ongoing love and support. We are so excited to share our journey with you and look forward to introducing our daughter/son to all of our favorite people!
-Tom and Nat G
If you don’t officially know us yet, thank you for joining our journey! Below is a little more about the two of us.
Tom G is from Conway, SC and went to Georgia Tech for Engineering. Natalie is from Pittsburgh, PA and attended University of Pittsburgh for Occupational Therapy.
We met in Richmond, VA in 2013 at a slightly awkward first date- that resulted in a very well balanced match!
Tom has a slower approach to life while still adventurous with activity; Natalie helps to speed things up (especially with decision making) but needs Tom’s help to overcome her cautiousness with adventure. Natalie loves decorating a comfortable home, swinging on the porch swing and hammock; While Tom loves surfing, soccer, running, camping and more hobbies than one could count! Even when it comes to laundry, one of us will do the folding while the other does the hanging!
Now we both enjoy kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, sitting on the front porch and taking Murphy for family walks together.
We support each other’s strengths and balance each other’s weaknesses in a way that neither of us could have imagined on that first date. We can’t wait to carry that balance throughout our parenthood journey!
