I never thought I could miss someone I’ve never met. That’s what Becca and I thought when we saw our future son’s photo. That one smile forced us to laugh and cry. It’s been two years since we decided to adopt from South Korea and we still have a long, complicated journey ahead of us. It’s estimated that 80 to 90 percent of all Korean children born to single moms are given to orphanages or are abandoned. Many of the Korean girls given up for adoption will be adopted by families in South Korea, but many of the boys will eventually be sent to orphanages. Upon learning this, our hearts sank, and it was at that moment we knew we wanted to adopt from South Korea. If you would like to be a part of our journey to grow our family, we would very much appreciate it. Please pray for us, donate and consider adopting.
