Before we were married we discussed what it would be like to have a family. It was a dream we shared and then became a reality when God blessed us with Maddox and Ava. However, God had even greater plans. With family that lived part of their childhood in an orphanage, serving as youth pastors, and working in the education field, God has allowed us to see firsthand the impact of hope and love in the lives of children. We recognize that our desire to adopt is not something that randomly took place but that God planted a seed, watered it through the years, and has now opened the door for us to adopt. Not only has the door been opened but there is now a little boy named Judah standing on the other side of that door. We believe with God&’s help, guidance, and strength we will be able to provide our son, Judah, with a wonderful loving home and future. I&’m not sure we have the words to adequately explain why China. When you find yourself with a broken heart and a burden you can&’t get away from, you simply know. We talked about the need in America and other countries but when we talked about China we became anxious, excited, and emotional. We are following our heart. We consider ourselves blessed to have been given the opportunity to be the family to a child through adoption and pray that our child will experience a love that rescues us all, the love of Jesus.
