We have BIG news!
We are adopting another child! We both grew up with siblings and very close cousins… we want Isabella to have a sibling to love and share a special bond with.
As you may or not know, Nicole was diagnosed with Lupus in 2016 after nearly a dozen miscarriages. Since then, she has had both of her Fallopian tubes removed. IVF is an option, but we would rather put money towards adopting child in need of a stable and loving home. After Isabella, we have learned that you don’t have to share DNA with your child to be their parent. As The Beatles say, “All you need is love.”
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around Isabella and her future sibling as they grow up.
