A new adventure begins! We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.
Adoption related costs can easily total $40-45,000 or more for legal and adoption fees alone. This often will not cover travel expenses, consultant costs and finalization fees.
We originally started this fund and set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We planned to budget/save/fund the additional $15,000+ out of pocket. Between this site and the funds given to us personally, you guys reached our goal of $30,000 in 3 weeks!
However, we know that many of you still want to be involved. So we are leaving this fundraiser open for you. Any funds raised at this point will still go to the adoption & legal fees as well as help us with the travel costs, finalization fees and consultant fees that we were to pay out of pocket.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
I can hardly believe as I’m writing this, but in less than a month, your generosity has enabled us to REACH OUR GOAL OF RAISING $30,000 FOR Baby Gordy’s ADOPTION!!! We are completely blown away! 🙌🏻
A significant amount of the funds received were given to us personally (not through this platform) so the progress will not show here, but we are completely in AWE!

If you would still like to contribute, you can do so personally or through our this website which we will leave open. We have been saving and budgeting to pay $10-15,000 of the adoption costs out of pocket, so any funds raised from here on will go towards the portion we had planned on doing ourselves and will allow us to save for Baby Gordy’s future (and the costs of a newborn). 🍼👶🏻
