It is hard to believe we are THIS close to meeting OUR SON !! We hope to travel as early as January! We appreciate each and every donation we&'ve received since this journey began !! Please know that you have not only helped our son become a part of a forever family, but he will also receive exposure to his natural mode of communication (sign language) for the first time. This will be LIFE CHANGING for him as well ! We first learned about our son, a 6-year-old boy who is Deaf and diagnosed with Autism in June 2013 and FELL in LOVE. His story touched us and it was clear he was to be OURS. Denise has 20 years of experience as an interpreter for the Deaf. Charles was adopted himself and was raised in a large, loving family and longs to be a dad. Even our dogs are preparing for a big brother by learning sign language! Regrettably, we have been denied all the adoption grants we applied for except for one (A Gift of Adoption- THANK YOU!). But we cannot give up now! Now more than ever we need your help! Since the beginning we have seen MIRACLE after MIRACLE occur, each one bringing us a HUGE STEP closer to our son. From the "total raised," $10,400 has already been process and paid to our adoption costs. Our goal now is to raise the last $11,000 for final fees and traveling expenses.
