We're the Griffith family and we're ADOPTING!
We are beyond excited as we begin this journey. Both of us, even before we were married, have strongly felt a call from God to adopt, and we can hardly believe the time has come to start the process! (We even talked about adoption on our very first date!) The saying "It takes a village" keeps coming to mind because there is no way that we could do this on our own. Your prayers and words of encouragement mean so much to us. We are continually praying and asking God to supply all that we need to bring our child home, one of those needs being financial support. Our agency estimates that it will cost between $30,000 -$35,000 to complete our adoption. This is why we have started a crowdfunding campaign so that you can be a part of giving an orphan from India a loving forever family.
Why India? Ultimately, God led us to India, but here are a couple of facts that tipped the scales for us:
The process is likely to take between 2 and 3 years from start to finish, and we hope to adopt a little boy (most families adopting from India request girls, so this is to our advantage time-wise, as there are just as many boys who need adopting as girls in India!).
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the "village" that we hope to build around our child as he grows up. We ask that you seek God when making the decision on how you can best support us. Please know that whether you are able to support us financially or through prayer, we love and appreciate each of you so much!
