We are the Grimes family and have 3 young children and 2 adopted teens. Haiti has had my heart since I was 18 years old and made my first trip. Many trips later my heart broke as I watched the devastation of the Jan 2010 earthquake unfold there. During the rescue and relief trips of 2010/11 we fell in love with Wanna and Fritzson at an orphanage as we continued to go back and serve. Having been abandoned and adopted myself I know the pain that goes along with abandonment and as the connection grew with them I knew I couldn't leave them alone forever. Adoptions opened back up in late 2011 and by spring 2012 we flew all our paperwork to Haiti to a director who promised she could complete our adoption. Unfortunately she lied and not only did she take our adoption money but withheld some important documents. I had worked 2 jobs for the last year to fund our adoption. My kids are finally close to being home but we have exhausted everything and need help for the final stages and flights. Thank you.
