Friends, we are excited to share that we are growing our family through adoption.
During our season of engagement, we both expressed a desire for adoption to be a part of our story and our future family. We see adoption woven all throughout Scripture, and we believe it's a beautiful picture of the Gospel. Ephesians 1:4 talks about how God chose us before the foundation of the world. His desire for us was to be adopted into His own family. We were on His radar and His "plan A" from the very beginning.
This year as we have been dreaming about growing our family, we believe God has put a desire in our heart to adopt first. Our hope is that our future child believes and understands he was chosen, believed in, and on our radar from the very beginning.
We recognize the magnitude of adoption and how emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially significant this decision will impact our lives and future family. It will be a beautiful yet difficult journey, but we believe the two co-exist, and we believe this is the story God is writing for our family.
We invite you to be a part of our new narrative. Suddenly it doesn't just become our story, but it's your story, as well. You become a part of our future child's life.
We are pursuing a domestic infant adoption and we are so close to completing our home study! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Domestic adoption related costs can range from $30,000-$50,000. These numbers seem overwhelming at times, and it is not a simple idea to navigate. What we do believe is God is leading us to walk down this path of adoption. And what we do know is God is consistently true to His character. He is faithful. So $30,000 is nothing to Him. He will do it.
