is adopting a child from United States of America

We have BIG news!

We are adopting a child!

Nick and I have been married for 5 years this past August and what a fun ride it has been so far. We recently earned our doctorate of physical therapy and have both began our career doing what we have dreamed of since we were young. During our last year of PT school we began trying to make another dream come true which was growing our family since we had finally reached a point where this could be on our radar. I began noticing signs that something wasn’t quite right so I made an appointment with my obgyn. I was told that I was not ovulating and was started on clomid. After three rounds of clomid , ultrasounds and blood work all showing no signs of ovulation we decided to take a break from the treatments as the emotional toll was wearing on both of us. For the last year we have tried other medications with minimal changes in hormone levels. While taking these medications we also began looking into adoption as we both felt a call to adoption even before we tried for biological children. My heart for adoption began when I was 16 when I was on a mission trip in Honduras and continued to grow as God continually put adoption on my radar. So much so that I tried to convince Nick to adopt after attending Winter Jam while we were in PT school. How crazy could I have been to think that would have worked? Little did I know that God was just preparing our hearts for what was to come. As we are approaching almost 2 years struggling with infertility, we keep finding ourselves looking to adoption. We are hoping to be presented to a birth mother in the next couple of weeks and are so excited. The numbers we have been given for completion of an adoption is $40,000-$50,000. We know that this is where God has called us to serve and are having faith that he will provide. So that is where you come in. Every dollar will bring us closer to starting our family and providing a loving home and family for the sweet baby (or babies) that God has planned for us. We are all called to serve orphans, but not everyone is called to adopt. So if serving in this way has been put on your heart, then please place a tax deductible donation on our profile. If you are not led to give, please be in prayer for us, our sweet baby and the birth parents. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story.

Love, Nick and Hannah
