We are adopting a baby!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a baby into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more! Since raising a child is expensive enough - we are asking for help to ease the financial burden of the adoption fees that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
Jeff and I were married in 2008 and we both knew we wanted kids. We were blessed with 2 beautiful children- Eliza and Wyatt. Everything seemed to be falling into place. It wasn't until we decided to have another baby that we discovered I have premature ovarian failure. This meant I could no longer have any more biological children- I was devastated. For a couple years, we looked into IVF with donor eggs or even embryo adoption but it didn't feel right for us. I know now that adoption is what we are meant to do in order to grow our family. Eliza and Wyatt are thrilled to get another sibling in the future.
