"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful!" -Hebrews 10:23
Two years ago, Matt and I decided to begin trying to have a second child. Since I had an easy pregnancy with Anderson, we assumed everything would be the same as it was with him. Three months later, we were ecstatic to find out I was pregnant. Unfortunately, at 6.5 weeks, I lost the pregnancy. The doctors explained that miscarriage is common and sometimes "a part of life." Little did we know, I would go on to have four additional miscarriages after the first one. After months and months of genetic testing, fertility treatments, and medications, we found ourselves devastated and with no real answers. However, we held onto hope, knowing that God heard our prayers.
Matt and I first talked about adoption before even trying for a second child. However, we had no idea at the time it would become a reality for us. As time passed, and we spent more and more time praying about our situation, it became clear that adoption is the plan God has for our family.
We are so excited about the opportunity to welcome a child into our home. Anderson wants nothing more than to be a big brother. In fact, he is convinced that he already is a big brother!
We are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home, but we need your help. The agency we are working with has told us that the adoption will cost close to $30,000 (maybe more). To help with some of the costs, we are creating a special puzzle for our baby's room. We are asking you to consider sponsoring a piece of the puzzle. Each piece will be $10. For every piece that is sponsored, we will write the name of the sponsor on the back of the puzzle piece. Once the puzzle is complete, we will frame it in double sided glass and hang in the baby's room, so that he/she will always be able to see and know how much he/she was prayed for and loved from the beginning.
We are hoping that you will be willing to join us in this process and this journey. We promise to keep our page updated so that you can read about where we are in the process. All donations are tax deductible. Please donate if you can, but more importantly, please pray for our family during this special time.
