We are OVERJOYED to announce…. we are adopting! We are also very excited to invite you all on this journey with us.
First , a little bit about what brought us to this point…
Brandon has had a deep desire to adopt since his early teens, and Kylie is passionate and driven to care for orphaned and vulnerable children in the world. Adoption, naturally, was the topic of many of our conversations when we were dating and has continued on into marriage. God has no doubt placed a deep desire in both of our hearts to adopt as a part of growing our family. Several months ago we began discussing expanding our family and we felt like we solidified a good game plan of when to start trying to have our own biological child. Shortly afterwards, Kylie thought that God might be leading us in another direction. In typical fashion, she was catching on to things faster than her better half was. Soon afterwards Brandon began to sense the Spirit's leading as well. After much prayer and discussion we have decided to adopt for our first child. We want them to know that they were our first choice, exactly what we wanted.
Where we are at now…
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to prepare ourselves to welcome a beautiful baby into our family. As you may know, adoption can be expensive, really expensive. We are attempting to raise $26,800.00. This sum of money covers application fees, fingerprints, a home study, and several services provided to the birth mother of our child (hospital bills, housing, counseling, etc). All of this can be quite overwhelming. We have faith that God will make a way for this baby to be in our arms, however terrifying it may be.
