We are a couple in our early thirties who live in Colorado. We have been diagnosed with "Unexplained Infertility" (UI). Though UI has been challenging and heartbreaking, we are coming to see it as a disguised blessing (Romans 8:28), as it has opened our hearts to adoption. We are in the process of undergoing embryo adoption. Embryo adoption basically involves adopting children in the embryonic stage of development who are "leftover" from others' IVF procedures. The embryos are implanted into the mother's womb, and then (hopefully) carried to term. If you'd like to learn more about our story, feel free to visit our personal webpage.
As part of our adoption journey, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Our adoption fees will total approximately $13,000-15,000. To help fund our snowflake adoption, we have picked up summer work and extra shifts, initiated a one year spending moratorium on new clothes and eating out, and restructured our budget. We are also in the process of applying to several grants. We hope to raise $6,000 (approximately 40% of the overall amount) by the end of 2020. Such support will help defray the costs of adoption, as well as help to create a buffer for additional future costs, e.g. those associated with pregnancy.

Perhaps you have a burden for orphans (James 1:27), or can resonate with the frustration and sorrow of infertility.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, we can integrate our extended family (whether by blood, the Cross, or common vision) into the community that we hope to build around our child (or children) as they grow up.
