We are so excited to share with you that WE ARE ADOPTING!!! We’ve been dreaming of starting a family together for many years, and we are ready to take a leap of faith into parenthood. Adoption has been on our hearts since our high school days (no really, over 10 years ago), and through the years we’ve witnessed several friends go through the process of adopting. It is truly a blessing to everyone involved, and we are certain that it is the right decision for us.
We’ve been seriously researching adoption programs and agencies for about a year, and we have learned so much and explored a lot of different options to get to where we are now. We are nearly finished with our home study (the legal process that determines if we are fit to adopt), and we signed a contract with an adoption agency last week. (they will help us find our baby!) We will be adopting an infant from here in the US. It could come from any state, at any time once we complete our profile and finish the payments to our agency. It’s hard to say how long this could take, but we would love for it to happen sometime next year!
All of the funds that we raise will go toward paying our agency fees, legal fees, medical expenses for the baby and birth mother, and travel expenses when our baby is born. We can't thank you enough for your love and support!
