When we first married, we decided we wanted to adopt. After having a child of our own we decided that we would grow our family in the future with adoption. We also strongly believe in the right to life for unborn children, but we are also aware that mothers in these situations feel hopeless and without support. By adopting a child, you are giving a mother the option of a stable life for their unborn child and a relief of a burden they feel unprepared for. Thankfully more people are adopting to fill this need, but the financial burden of an adoption can deter many. A domestic infant adoption in the US can cost anywhere from $20,000 - $35,0000. The cost for international adoption can reach close to $50,000. As a result, many families are partnering with friends and family to reduce the burden of the high upfront cost of adoption. We have been blessed by partnering with others in the past to help in their goal of adopting.
Through our profile we are hoping to raise funds for a family in our church who is adopting from China. We chose to use Adopt Together to raise funds because it is a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible. When we have eligible adoption expenses we would submit our receipts to Adopt Together, and they would approve expenses for reimbursement. We thank you for praying and partnering with us in blessing a family and a young boy from the other side of the world.
