We have EXCITING NEWS!
We are adopting a little boy from Uganda. God had plans that we couldn't have even guessed a year ago. While living here in Uganda God, through His divine plan wove our sons life with ours before we even knew he would be our son. We were there for his ultrasound, for his check ups in the womb, to pray over him while God was knitting him together in his mommas belly. We were able to pack his hospital bag and be there moments after he was born. Just hours after he was born he was in our home, apart of our family.
God has called us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, and our son, being adopted into our family is just one of many ways God has called us to fulfill this command in His word. We believe God's heart is for adoption because He adopts each one of us that believes in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are so honored that God would chose us out of every person in this world to be the parents of this sweet little boy.
This has been a walk of faith as we trust God to lead us through this process and all the details that must come together for the adoption to be successful both abroad and in America.
We believe it takes a community to raise a child in the way of the Lord. We have learned the importance of this truth while living here in Uganda, so we are inviting you to partner with us in this journey. This journey is a long and costly one. We will be funding our adoption from personal savings, fundraisers, grants and the love and support from family and friends.
We are currently in the process of adopting him, through the Uganda court system. We are currently in the fostering period preparing to petition the courts for his adoption decree. After we finalize his adoption in Uganda we have to apply for his visa and citizenship in the United States. As you can imagine this process is long and expensive as there are many upfront and ongoing costs necessary to finalize the adoption of our son.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 -$50,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $40,000 to help ease the financial burden of bringing our son home.
We believe that by sharing this journey with you, our family, friends and community of faith, that God will be glorified through the life of this child and through the adoption process. We will see miracles as we go through the process and want each and everyone of you to be able to witness and glorify God through this amazing process.
