David Hiller

is adopting a child from China

We are the Hiller Family and we are adopting a second son from China. Our first child, Jonah, was adopted from China when he was 16 months old in February 2014. After a year home with Jonah we started praying about expanding our family through adoption again. Each time we visited the topic we were hesitant to start the process due to limited funds. However, we could never escape the desire to add another child to our family. Fully embracing that God has not called us to be comfortable but rather instrumental in His work, we took the leap of faith and started the process to adopt our second son in August of 2016. We are requesting to be matched with a boy with cleft lip/cleft palate and partial hearing loss. Our first son has these same needs and we feel confident in the care provided by an area hospital to address these medical conditions. Adoption has dramatically changed our lives. Once you truly understand the plight of orphans around the globe you can not turn a blind eye to the great need of the children waiting for forever families. We are humbled that God called us to travel this path. Additionally, we are humbled by those willing to walk with us on this journey through prayer and financial blessings. Up to this point we have organized an online auction, sold Christmas ornaments and T-shirts, participated in a Trades of Hope jewelry sale, and applied for grants. We have scrutinized our budget and made sacrifices in many areas. However, we still need additional funds. We have been very fortunate in the most generous contributions of friends and family and many others who do not know us but share our desire to serve God's children. We would greatly appreciate your prayers for us and all the families working to bring children around the world into loving homes.
