We are Phill and Tammy Holcomb. We were married in Sept 1993. We knew right away we wanted a houseful of children. We tried infertility treatments, foster care classes and then God turned us to China. We adopted our daughter Abigail in May 2003 after a 10 yrs of marriage we finally we blessed with a child. We then found a photo of a waiting little boy in China who was 2yrs old. We prayed and God sent us back to China to adopt Alexander in Dec 2004. We then thought our family was complete. We were praying to see if we should look into becoming foster parents. We then got a phone call in asking if we would be interested in adopting a 4yr old little boy. Once we saw his picture we fell in love. Deon joined our family in Jan 2013. It's been a long legal battle and pray he is adopted soon. We are working with a lawyer to finalize his adoption. After Deon came into our home we felt maybe God was directing us to do foster care. We then went through foster care classes. Right before we were lincesed God showed us a 6yr old girl who was waiting for her forever family. We adopted Annalise in Oct 2016. When we visited her orphange we met her little foster brother. She hugged him goodbye for what we thought was the last time. Tears rolling down both of their faces. A difficult image to get out of your mind. Once home Annalise continued to tell us about her foster family. We were able to locate two of her foster siblings that have now been adopted. We then started praying we were able to locate her little foster brother. We finally located him in Feb 2017. We prayed he would find his forever family. All the families who were considering to adopt him decided he was not their son. We then felt God wanted us to adopt him to make his our foever son and Annalise forever brother. We came up with a huge list of reasons why we couldn't adopt him….too old, house too small, cars to small, can't afford another adoption so soon, he has many scary medical issues……..BUT GOD had other plans. We are now in the process of adopting him. We can reuse some of our paperwork from Annalise adoption so that will cut down on some of the cost. But adoption is still very expensive. Trusting God
