We are adopting a child!
Our names are Tyler and Ashley Holden. We have been married for a five years. Tyler is 26 years old, and Ashley is 27. We live in Boise, Idaho. Tyler grew up in Florida before moving to Yakima, Washington where he met Ashley, who grew up in Youngsville, North Carolina.
We have both always wanted kids, but the journey to expanding our family has not been an easy one. In high school, Ashley was diagnosed with a medical condition called Turners Syndrome that makes pregnancy extremely difficult, if not impossible for her.
After five years of marriage, we are ready to start the adoption process. We realize that this will most likely be a long, emotional, and pricey process, but we know it will be so worth it at the end.
We are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we are trying to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
