Dear Adoption Supporters,
We discovered that God had communicated very clearly to each of us - "You have room for one more in your household!" and adoption was the path He intended for us to take. We researched different types of adoption (international/domestic/foster), explored our agency/facilitator/lawyer options, consulted friends who have adopted, talked to our two children about their concerns, and PRAYED A LOT. We then officially committed to private domestic adoption through our chosen agency and the adventure officially began! We are waiting for a son or daughter (newborn through five years old) of any ethnic background. We are also hopeful for an open adoption, meaning that we maintain contact with birth family and have a relationship that evolves from mutual love for the same kiddo.
We are not fancy or wealthy people. We are average folks working full-time jobs. We love our family and our community. We also have a big dream to open our home to another child through adoption. Being parents is the best job we have! We are consistently fundraising to help offset the high costs associated with agency fees, social worker fees and legal costs. To date we have successfully held garage sales, jewelry and t-shirt sales, a LuLaRoe clothing event, a Plant Nite, and two big golf tournaments. We have also been greatly blessed by very generous friends, family and neighbors through this website who believe in us and believe in our vision.
As of November 2017, we have raised over 50% of what we need! We are incredibly humbled to receive that amazing support. We took a bold step out in faith that God has a plan to grow our family through adoption, and we are 100% confident that our son or daughter will find his/her way home to us in due time. We are committed to this process to the end.
