We are prayerfully hoping to adopt a child of our own!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. We prepared for a placement of a beautiful baby boy, for 5 months. We have waited and prayed, and waited, and waited, and prayed…. and here we are, no closer than we were 5 months ago to bringing him home. I truly believe that God does open windows, when doors close. The monetary goals for an agency adoption seemed unattainable, and maybe they are, but maybe they aren’t. We are certainly going to give it our very best effort, because I know that we will be amazing parents. So, as part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you, probably not though, to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
