We have BIG news!
The Humes family is growing! We are in the process of adopting a child from South Korea and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Harper is beginning to understand that she will be a big sister and is getting very excited about it.
We’d love it if you would consider taking part in our story. Here's how you can help:
1) Prayer. This is the best gift! We need prayer during the waiting. Prayer during the referral process. Prayer during the travel. Prayer over the paperwork. Prayer over the adjustment period. We long to be covered in prayer through it all.
2) Giving financially. We trust that God will provide for each step in the process and we know that this is what He has planned for our lives. Your gift is a blessing and will help fund a portion of the many legal and government fees and hurdles required to provide a new life for our child with a loving family.

We have been in the adoption process since August of 2016—where we began filling out seemingly copious amounts of paperwork. Really, the idea of adoption came long before that moment; even before Harper was born, Tyler and I knew that we wanted to adopt, we just didn’t know how that would look for our family. When Harper was diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan Anemia, and learning that I was a carrier for it, we recognized that adoption was the best way for our family to continue growing. Thus, we took the beginning steps.
