Greetings! We are the Humphrey family. Chris and I (Nicole) have been married for 13 years and during that time the Lord has blessed us with four amazing children: Celeste (12), Olivia (9), Asher (7) and Nora (4). We live in Germany where my husband works for DoDDs (Department of Defense Schools). We are currently in the process of adopting a three year little girl with cerebral palsy from Eastern Europe. Last year, as Chris and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary, we began to feel a strong pull towards growing our family through adoption. By the end of July we had committed to an agency and had our home study under way. We were not originally seeking to adopt a child with special needs but through much discussion and prayer we feel certain that this little girl is ours to call daughter. As we have announced our plans to adopt, so many of you have asked us how you can support us in this journey. As anyone that has even remotely considered adoption knows, adoption is expensive. For this reason the most practical way that you can come along side us is to partner with us financially. Our adoption will cost $35,000 but with your help we are hopeful that we can raise $10,000 of that amount which will help to cover our travel costs. Psalm 68:6 says that the Lord himself puts the lonely in families. For this reason alone, we know that this goal is obtainable.
