My name is James Hutton, and my wife and I are asking for your assistance with our second adoption from China. In 2016 we adopted our first son from China whom we named Luke. We were recently matched to a young boy that we plan on naming Mark. He is about two years old, and all three of us plan on going to China in the Fall to adopt him.
Sadly, we do not have the funds necessary to complete this adoption.
You may be surprised to read that adoption related expenses can easily total $35,000 or more. We have already paid thousands of dollars in our journey to adopt Mark. For our first adoption, my wife and I liquidated our financial assets to pay for it. This time around we do not have such resources. To help compensate for this we have significantly reduced our day-to-day expenses and I started a side business. Unfortunately, neither of these changes have made enough of a difference to make our adoption affordable.
As such, Lisa and I have decided to use crowdfunding as a means to allow us to adopt Mark. According to our adoption organization, we currently need $17,775 to complete the adoption and provide a much needed donation to the orphanage in China. Obviously, this is a large number!
