Kirstin and I are in the process of adopting kids and we need your help! We are trying to adopt kids who want nothing more than to find a forever family. Our home study is approving us to adopt up to four kids, and your support can help make that possible.
The short answer: God put it on our hearts to seek out some of His most treasured kiddos to provide them a forever home. The long answer: we're both teachers who have educated and worked with at-risk and international students for years. For the past few years we supported kids who aged out of the Colombian orphan-care system and helped them go to college. We have a passion for reaching out to people around the world, and now we feel called to make an even bigger impact by giving some kids a forever home.
While we prepare our house and ourselves to parent our new kids, you have an opportunity to be a part of their international story by helping fund the next chapter in their lives.
It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs for one child is between $30,000 and $40,000, and costs for three kids can easily total up to $50,000 or more.
We have set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden and set our adopted kids set up for some fantastic opportunities in the United States. We want the kids to know that they are valued by many, many people who want them here and want to see them reach their fullest potential.
And because we've partnered with Pure Charity and Adopt together, all of your donations are tax deductible and only go toward actual adoption expenses. To get a grant from the funds you donate, we submit proof of actual adoption costs and fees. You can rest assured that your hard-earned dollars are making the maximum impact in the lives of abandoned and orphaned children. And you may even be able to get a matching grant from your employer.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our children as they grow up.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress . . . ." James 1:27 (NIV)
We thank you so much for your support!
