My family is adopting a teenager from Brazil. David is my nephew. He just turned 16 years old and lives with my parents who are old. My father has dementia, and my mom is his caregiver. She is tired and does not feel she can keep raising a teenager. They are his legal guardians. I have a teenager myself and am a widow. David and my son are close and age. I have been saving for this international adoption and have paid a lot with those savings, but we all know the fees are high and can be up to $ 35,000.00. I am starting the crowdfunding campaign to help with $ 15,000.00. This will help me to pay for a loan that I took to pay for part of the fees.
