We are adopting a baby! We are so excited to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. It may surprise you to learn that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. It surprised us in the beginning, too! We are blessed to have access to resources like Adopt Together to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Thank you for all of your support. We know that our baby is SO loved already. We are forever grateful!
Love,
The Jaceks
Update: January 2022: We have been matched! Baby was born on Christmas Eve, prematurely at 28 weeks, and is currently in the NICU. We have been chosen as his forever family. We drive to Texas tomorrow to be with him.
Baby is getting better and stronger every day — it is my hope that with a family to love on him he will make even greater strides. Prayers for this sweet baby and for our anxiety (quite high) are very much welcomed. We have named him Gabriel, it means “God is my strength”.
Update: June 2020: Unfortunately, we experienced a failed adoption. Time heals all wounds and we know in our hearts that our baby will find us in God's perfect timing.
Update: May 2020: Adopt Together graciously chose US as a family to feature for their #GivingTuesdayNow campaign. As a COVID-19 front line family, Adopt Together shared our adoption journey on their social media sites and matched $5,000 in donations. God is so GOOD.
Update: November 2019: Our Gladney paperwork is now complete. FINALLY! We are officially an "active family" and can formally begin the search for the little one who will enrich our family forever.
Update: October 2019: A close friend asked us if he could contribute to our adoption journey by making a tax-deductible donation. We did some research and found Adopt Together to be the perfect place. Without his suggestion, we may never have stumbled upon such a blessing.
Update: August 2019: We finished our Home Study. Whew! Nerves were high, but our hearts were full of hope. We are now one step closer.
Update: May 2019: We flew to Fort Worth, Texas to join the Gladney adoption agency in the hopes of making our parenthood dreams come true via newborn domestic adoption.
