Thank you for taking a moment to get to know us and share in this exciting chapter of our lives.

Our story began in October 2018 in Chicago. Our first date—a night of trivia—was full of laughs and the kind of instant inside jokes that let us know we had something special. We quickly realized we shared the same values and approach to life. After a few great years of dating, we moved in together in 2021 and officially tied the knot in September 2024, surrounded by our favorite people.

Becoming parents is a dream we’ve shared for a long time. Early on, we’d spend hours talking about what growing our family might look like. As we explored different paths, adoption just felt right—it deeply aligns with our values and the life we’re building. We’re also lucky to have close friends who adopted, and seeing their journey firsthand has made us even more excited for our own.

Now, we are hoping to adopt two children! We are heading into this journey as a team, leaning on the communication and patience that has gotten us this far. We are established in our careers, love the home we’ve made, and are emotionally and financially ready to jump in with open hearts.

As part of this process, we have started a fundraising campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $60,000 or more per child, which is why we have set our goal at that amount.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as a vital part of the village we want to build around our future children. Thank you for your love, support, and generosity as we take these steps to become a family of four.

    Our Family Profile is Officially Live!

    We are absolutely thrilled to share a major milestone in our adoption journey: our family profile is officially online and active!

    Getting to this point has been a labor of love, full of reflection, paperwork, and anticipation. Creating this profile gave us a wonderful opportunity to look closely at our lives, our home, and the incredible support system of family and friends surrounding us. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours.

    Our profile is now available to expectant parents who are making the incredibly brave and loving decision to make an adoption plan. It is a window into our daily lives—our love for cooking plant-based meals, our active weekends spent outdoors, the quiet mornings in our bright and airy home, and all the everyday moments we can't wait to share with a child. (And yes, Basil made sure he got plenty of screen time in the photos!).

    Home Study Completed!

    February 16, 2026

    We are officially home study-approved! Getting to this point felt like a marathon of paperwork and soul searching. We’ve spent the last year+ diving into our family histories, writing autobiographies, and even sketching out our family trees to show perspective mothers exactly who we are.

    Beyond the storytelling, we’ve been busy learning. We cleared our background checks, earned our Infant/Child CPR certifications, and completed "Adoption 101" and "Identity" homework to make sure we are as prepared as possible for the day we bring a little one home.

    Now that our home study is finalized, we are officially moving into the "Agency Search" phase. We are currently researching and interviewing placement agencies to find the right partner to help match us with our future child.
