Help Jack & Kenna Answer God’s Call to Adopt!

“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to Him.” – 1 Samuel 1:27

We are Jack and Kenna, and we are stepping forward in faith to answer the call the Lord has placed on our hearts—to adopt a precious child into our family. Our journey to adoption is not born from infertility but from a deep conviction that God has called us to love, nurture, and raise a child for His glory. Adoption is a reflection of the Gospel, and just as we have been adopted into God’s family through Christ, we feel led to open our hearts and home to a child who needs a family.

Our Heart for Adoption: From the very beginning of our marriage, we have prayed about how God would use our home to serve His kingdom. Over time, He has made it abundantly clear that adoption is part of His plan for our family. We believe that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and deserves to be raised in a home where they are cherished, nurtured, and taught about the holiness of Christ. Our greatest hope is to raise our child in the love of Jesus, helping them to walk in His truth and understand the incredible plan He has for their life.

How You Can Help: Adoption is a beautiful but costly journey. The expenses include agency fees, legal costs, home study fees, travel expenses, and more. While we trust in God’s provision, we also know that He often uses the generosity of His people to accomplish His work. We are humbly asking for your prayers and, if you feel led, your financial support to help us bring our child home.

Ways to Support Us: 🙏 Pray for Us – We need prayers for wisdom, patience, and for the expectant mother who is making this courageous decision. 💛 Give Financially – Any amount, big or small, helps us take the next step in this journey. Your donation directly helps with adoption costs. 📢 Share Our Story – Spreading the word helps us reach more hearts willing to partner with us on this journey.

Our Promise: If you choose to support us in any way, know that you are sowing into a story of love, faith, and God’s divine plan. We promise to raise our child in a Christ-centered home, surrounded by love, prayer, and a strong faith community. They will always know that they are not only chosen by us but first and foremost chosen by God.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of this journey. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity mean the world to us as we step forward in faith to welcome our child home.

With love and gratitude, Jack & Kenna

    Baby Girl Cowart

    March 12, 2026

We have an incredible update to share with you all. Yesterday we received a call about a baby girl born in Houston, and after reviewing the case we chose to present to the birth mother. Within just a few hours, she chose us to be her parents. All of the relinquishment and placement paperwork has now been signed, and we are officially the parents of Baby Girl Cowart.

She was born on February 20th and is currently in the NICU due to meconium aspiration, which required intubation shortly after birth. Thankfully she has improved significantly and is doing very well now. Doctors are hopeful that she will be able to discharge early next week, and we are preparing to bring her home.

Because this happened as a drop-in case, the timeline for funding is extremely urgent. We must complete the remaining legal and agency payments in order to finalize the adoption and bring our daughter home from Houston.

Many of you know that earlier in our journey we experienced a failed adoption, which was heartbreaking and also resulted in a financial loss. Despite that setback, we continued trusting that the Lord would bring the child meant for our family—and now she is here.

We truly believe this little girl is our daughter, and bringing her home means everything to us. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity have carried us through this entire journey, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who has walked alongside us.

Thank you for loving and supporting us so well. We can’t wait to share more updates soon. 💛

    Year 2

    February 6, 2026

Hi friends, family and amazing children of God,

We are now entering year 2 of our adoption process. We posted publicly about the decision to start our family with adoption, for the first time last February.

Here we are a year later. This process has been nothing short of a trial full of suffering and hardship. However, the trials, suffering and hardship have all pointed to the glory of God. God is so good. He is so present. He loves in a way that is unfathomable to our flesh.

We have prayed, prayed again and then continued to pray if God was still calling us to start our family with adoption. For now, we know that He is still asking us to give Him our yes. To be willing. Willing to accept His will.
    We are willing.

We want to thank you all for your continued support. The love, prayers and financial donations do not go unnoticed. Each one reminds us that we are not alone in this journey. You are all playing a role in this adventure of bringing God’s kingdom here on Earth.

While we wait for whatever child God has for us, we ask for your continued support. Whether through love, prayer or financial support. Or all of the above.

Thank you for continuing to listen to our story, well, God’s story. We continue to hope that it will be an encouragement to you, to continue to put your yes on the table, and see what the Lord does with it ❤️

    Update

    December 17, 2025

    Hi Friends and Family,

First we want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support through our adoption journey. Whether through prayer, time, and/or finances, we have felt so loved and cared for. Our hearts have been filled with joy watching you all join us in growing God’s kingdom here on earth.

As some of you already know, our adoption journey took a turn this past weekend.
The mom of the baby girl that we had been ready to adopt, chose to keep her baby. We will not be adopting the baby girl.
This was not an easy time for us. We have struggled and cried more than we ever remember doing. Although this was an extremely painful situation for us, we want each of you to know that God’s will was done.
The mother made the hard decision to not only choose life, but also to choose to raise her daughter.
Adoption is not easy. It is hard and painful and full of mixed emotions at all times.
But it reminds me that our adoption into God’s family was also not easy.
God had to give up His son. Painful. Hard. Mixed emotions knowing that Jesus would suffer and die, but then bring redemption to the world and glory to the Father.

All of your prayers for the baby girl and her family were not prayed in vain. Those prayers were not for our future baby, but for her. Those prayers will come to fruition. God’s promises and words will not return void. The prayers prayed were meant for her. Her life will stand out with so many saints prayers over her. The same for her mother and family.

All finances given were not wasted. Some were used in support of the mother and baby girl. The rest will be used for the next phase of our adoption journey. As we have prayed this week and sought the Lord, we know He has called us to adoption. Not due to infertility and not even do to wanting a baby. Rather to give Him all glory. To share His word. To show others the love of Jesus. To love radically. To sacrifice and suffer well. Because Jesus did nothing less for us. As our church likes to say, “We are reaching the world for Jesus, one person at a time.”
We are going to continue to be open to adoption, and we will remain active with multiple adoption agencies, ready to welcome whatever baby or child the Lord gives us.

We want our story to encourage you to not lose the faith. Even when the outcome is not what we expected, it is still good because God is good. Continue to praise the One who saves. Continue to trust the One who holds us. Continue to seek Him in all things. Because He is worthy of it all. Every trial. Every hardship. Every joy. Every blessing. He is worthy to be praised.

As Brother Lawrence said, “We ought to give ourselves up to God, with regard both to things temporal and spiritual, and seek our satisfaction only in the fulfilling of His will, whether He lead us by suffering or by consolation, for all would be equal to a soul truly resigned.”

With this being said, please continue to partner with us and the Lord. We will need more prayer than ever before to continue to run this race well. We will also still be accepting donations if anyone feels lead to continue to give to this journey. More than anything, we are so thankful. The Lord has revealed His compassion through all of you. Thank you, and we are praying for each of you in your own journeys!!

    We MATCHED!!!!

    October 2, 2025

Hey friends! We have a pretty big life and adoption update for y’all.
On our way to Egypt we were able to have a Zoom call with a mom, and… we matched! We’re beyond excited to welcome a baby girl into our home in mid December! We are so thankful for those who have supported us through prayer or monetary giving.
With us matching, the need for both is greater than ever. We ask first that you would pray. Pray for the birth family to come to know Jesus and that He would use us to do so. Pray for us and our home as we enter this exciting and daunting next chapter of our lives and our marriage. Pray for our daughter. That she would fear the Lord, and as arrows in the hands of a warrior, she would be a weapon against the enemy and would herself be a warrior for Christ.
We also ask that you would prayerfully consider going above and beyond your tithes and offerings and give towards our costs. Adopting isn’t free, and while we understand this was our choice to take on the financial burden of adopting, we ask that you would come along side us in that. Whatever amount you give, no matter how big or small, know that it couldn’t be more appreciated. We love all of you, and are so thankful for your prayerful support.

    Next steps!!!!

    April 14, 2025

    ✨ Adoption Update: We’re Approved! ✨
We’re overjoyed to share a huge milestone in our adoption journey: we have officially completed our home study and profile, and we are now approved to adopt!

This step has been bathed in prayer, and it’s only by the grace and faithfulness of the Lord that we’ve come this far. Every document, appointment, and moment of preparation has reminded us of God's steady hand and perfect timing. Now, with hearts full of expectancy, we’ve begun applying to adoption agencies and waiting for the Lord to match us with the child He has already chosen for our family.

As we continue forward, our greatest desire is that this process would bring glory to Jesus alone. Adoption is not only a journey to grow our family—it’s a testimony of how God adopts each of us into His family through the sacrifice and love of His Son. We want our child to know from the very beginning that they are deeply loved, not only by us but by their Heavenly Father who has written their story with purpose and grace.

How You Can Continue to Partner With Us:
    🙏 Prayer:
Please continue to pray with us—for divine guidance in the agency selection, for peace and strength as we wait, and especially for the expectant mother and her child, wherever they may be. Pray that the Lord prepares our hearts and hers, and that He receives all glory in this process.

    💛 Financial Support:
Though we have come so far, the road ahead still involves significant financial costs as we move into agency fees and matching opportunities. If God leads you to give, know that every gift helps carry us one step closer to our child—and we are so incredibly thankful.

    🙌 Praise God With Us:
We are standing on the promises of God, trusting that He who called us to this will be faithful to complete it. Thank you for walking with us, praying over us, and believing with us. Your support is a beautiful part of this unfolding story.

    To God be the glory,
    Jack & Kenna
